This Albury Junior Badminton coronavirus update follows the Government’s advice issued over the weekend regarding non-essential travel and social contact.

In line with this guidance, and with great regret, Albury Junior Badminton Club will be closed for the remainder of this term. This includes both Wednesday and Saturday sessions. The decision has not been taken lightly, but the health and safety of our players, families, and volunteers must come first.

What this coronavirus update means for Albury Junior Badminton

We will not be holding any further sessions this term. If restrictions ease sooner than expected, we’ll review the situation — but as of now, the shutdown will remain in place until further notice.

We are speaking to St Bede’s School Sports Centre about the possibility of deferring unused bookings, with a view to either rescheduling or crediting these sessions toward a future term. We’ll share more as soon as plans are confirmed.

We’ll continue to follow advice from Badminton England and Public Health England. While we’re closed, we encourage players to stay active with light solo fitness and to keep up their energy for when we return. We’ll share further updates by email and on our website.

How we’ll keep you updated

We will continue to send updates by email and post any changes to our website. If you haven’t already, please make sure our messages aren’t landing in your spam folder. You can also bookmark our club information page for the latest.

For reference, current national guidance can be found on the UK Government coronavirus page.

We appreciate your support and patience. This is a difficult time for many families, and while badminton must pause for now, we’ll be ready to resume as soon as it’s safe to do so.

Kind regards,

Albury Junior Badminton
