Our club rules

Welcome to our Albury Junior Badminton Club’s rules page. Our coaches and peers are committed to creating a positive and enjoyable training environment for all members. These rules have been put in place to ensure that everyone is safe, has fun, and can develop their skills to the best of their ability.

  1. Respect for Others: Our club values sportsmanship and mutual respect. Winning at all costs, intimidation of other players, and the use of foul or abusive language will not be tolerated. We encourage fair play and positive attitudes towards all players.
  2. Punctuality: Please arrive five to ten minutes before your session to get ready. Being on time allows for a smooth and uninterrupted session, and helps to avoid disruption for others. Late arrivals may not be permitted to join in.
  3. Attendance: It is important to inform one of the coaches if you foresee any sessions which you cannot attend. This helps us to plan ahead and ensure that everyone has the opportunity to play and develop their skills. Please note that team selection and even your place in the club may be based on your attendance and punctuality.
  4. Nutrition: It is important to eat a nutritious breakfast before training, and to avoid eating during sessions. This helps to avoid distractions and ensures that you have enough energy for the session. Please bring enough water for replenishment.
  5. Mobile Phones: To avoid distractions and interruptions, we ask that you do not use your mobile phone during training, unless it is an emergency.
  6. Clothing: Please wear clothing that is comfortable and allows freedom of movement, such as sports T-shirts, shorts/skirts, and indoor trainers. Players wearing inappropriate clothing, such as denim jeans or muddy boots, will not be permitted to participate.

We hope that these rules will help to create a positive and enjoyable training environment for everyone. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to one of our coaches.
