Thank you for your patience — we hope this message finds you and your family well. This Albury Junior Badminton coronavirus update shares where we currently stand and asks for your input to help us plan a safe return.
We’ve now received an invitation from the school to resume activity. However, only weekend bookings are available at present. This means Wednesday sessions will remain on hold until further notice.
In parallel, Badminton England has updated its official guidance. Doubles play is now permitted between players from different households, provided that appropriate risk assessments are in place and followed by clubs. You can read the full guidance on the Badminton England Return to Play page.
What this Albury Junior Badminton coronavirus update means for our return planning
If we do return, we will ensure:
-
Full risk assessments are in place
-
Sanitisation stations are provided and stocked
-
Attendance numbers are limited to safe levels
-
Session changeovers are distanced and controlled
That said, we want to make sure all measures are not just in place but tested, robust and understood. It’s unlikely we will return in September.
Help us decide
To help us assess the club’s readiness and gather your views, please reply to the following:
