Badminton Racket Stringing in Redhill, Reigate, Horley
Professional racket stringing service for all levels of players
We provide a reliable racket stringing service through the club, open to both members and the wider local community in Horley, Redhill, Reigate and surrounding areas. Our most senior stringer has over 20 years’ experience (since 2002) and has restrung rackets for international players, county athletes, juniors and recreational players.
If you know your preferred string and tension, we can match it. If not, we’ll recommend options suited to your style of play. We keep a selection of strings in stock and can string to different tensions depending on your needs.
How it works
- Drop off: Bring your racket to a Saturday morning training session at St Bede’s School, Redhill. If you’re closer to one of our stringers, alternative drop-off can be arranged, please use the form below to discuss.
- Inspection: Rackets are checked for chips, cracks or frame weakness to confirm they can safely be restrung.
- Turnaround: Most rackets are ready within a week. Faster turnaround can be discussed if needed.
- Collection: Pick up your racket at the following Saturday session or as arranged.

Available Strings and Pricing
All prices include both the string and restringing service. The strings listed below are those we currently keep in stock. If you would like a different string, please contact us to discuss. We replenish stock regularly and can add other strings to our next order if required.

Yonex BG65Ti (Yellow / Red): £25.00
0.70 mm gauge with a titanium-coated nylon multifilament core. Built for durability and tension stability, it gives a solid, firm feel that works well for regular club play and players who break strings often. It is reliable and comfortable but offers less repulsion and touch compared with thinner strings, so shots can feel heavier and less lively.

Yonex BG66 Ultimax (Black): £27.00
0.65 mm gauge designed for maximum repulsion and sharp, precise response. It produces fast shots and excellent control, especially in net play and drop shots, with a clean sound on impact. The trade-off is lower durability and faster tension loss, so restringing is needed more often compared with thicker strings.

Yonex BG80 Power (Bright Orange): £28.50
0.68 mm gauge with a high-intensity nylon core reinforced with Vectran. It produces a hard, crisp response and is favoured by attacking players for powerful smashes and solid feedback. Tension holds well, but the harder feel is less forgiving on mishits and can feel stiff during longer sessions.

Yonex Nanogy 98 (Cosmic Gold): £28.50
0.66 mm gauge with a carbon nanotube coating that increases repulsion. It delivers quick shuttle response and easy length on clears while still giving good control around the net. Durability is better than very thin strings, but it is not the best option for raw smash power and can feel less comfortable on off-centre hits.
