Why Albury (Redhill) Junior Badminton take photos and videos

Occasionally, we may take photos or short video clips during training sessions, events, or club competitions. These are used to:

• Celebrate player achievements.
• Provide training feedback for players.
• Promote the club through our website, newsletters, or social media.
• Raise awareness of badminton as a sport among young people.

All use is carefully managed. No child will ever be named in full publicly, and content is always chosen with care and respect.

How consent works

We only take and use photos or videos of children whose parent or guardian has given written permission. This consent is requested when a player first joins the club and can be withdrawn at any time by emailing Albury (Redhill) Junior Badminton Club.

If we plan to use any media for a specific project or promotional campaign, we may contact parents again for further permission.

How Albury (Redhill) Junior Badminton stores and protects images

Any photographs or video footage taken are stored securely by the Head Coach. They are never shared outside the club without permission and are only used in line with the purposes listed above. We never share or sell images to third parties.

Footage used for training or analysis purposes remains strictly internal and is not used for public promotion unless separately agreed.

No photography by visitors

To protect all children at our sessions, we do not allow parents, carers or visitors to take photos or videos unless agreed in advance. This applies during trials, regular training, and club events. If you would like a photo of your child at a club session, please speak to a coach and we’ll do our best to help.

Sharing on social media

The club may occasionally share selected images on platforms such as Instagram or the Albury (Redhill) Junior Badminton Club website. Again, this is only done where prior consent has been given. If at any point you wish to remove a specific image, just contact us and we’ll take action promptly.

We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in law or club procedures. Please revisit this page periodically to stay informed.
